MEET THE CHICAGO BOOTH CLASS OF 2019

CHICAGO BOOTH CLASS OF 2019

This fall, the Chicago Booth community welcomed 582 first-year students who are embarking on a journey of a lifetime. As always, Booth’s student body covers a wide array of industries and functions, and no two Boothies are alike. All at the same time, there’s a common theme that ties students together. According to Kurt Ahlm, Booth’s Associate Dean of Full-Time Admissions, it’s being “life-long learners who are always open, exploring, and never satisfied.”

We invite you to dive into what makes Booth unique through 11 in-depth profiles of remarkable students, published on Poets & Quants, the world’s leading MBA website. Through this overview, you can see how diverse the paths are leading to Booth and hopefully, find a story that resonates with yours. You can also learn about how the Chicago Booth Full-Time MBA Program is a great fit to a U.S. Navy Special Warfare Officer, a retired NFL Athlete, and a Sony Product Manager who led The Chainsmokers’ international marketing.

Thanks to those inspirational 11 individuals getting introspective and candid about their journeys and motivations, we not only get a glimpse into Booth’s qualitative edge, but also are reminded of the Chicago Booth primal question: “Why are you here and not somewhere else?”
