Who are you? Moving to Chicago to attend Booth is my first experience in the Midwest. Prior to b-school, I worked at Bloomberg LP as a software developer. I am an active member of Chicago’s LGBT social group called The Welcoming Committee, and I play volleyball in a city league.

Why did you choose Booth? I was impressed with the variety and range of companies that visit campus to recruit. I really appreciated that many CPG companies, large tech firms, and small start-ups come here to find new hires. Also, coming from NYC, I was looking for a school that not only would have a campus feel, but is also located in a major city.

What are some of the student groups you’ve been involved with? There are so many social and professional clubs to choose from at Booth. They are all student-run and, as a second-year, it is a great opportunity to practice leadership skills as a co-chair. Outside of my role as VP of Student Affairs on GBC (Graduate Business Council), I am actively involved in OUTreach, DStAR, Booth Volleyball, Marketing Group, Booth Tech Group, and Giving Something Back.

What is one moment at Booth that stands? Actually, even before I started my first year, I sat in on professor Linda Ginzel’s Negotiations class during First Day and realized that Booth really excels in departments outside of finance. This greatly contributed to my decision to concentrate in managerial and organizational behavior as well as marketing management.

Why did you want to join The Booth Experience team? I am a bit of a social media addict and I think I can really help boost Booth’s visibility and online presence through these channels. I’m also excited to be a representative voice of the Booth student community and share my stories as an active member of numerous students groups and events.
