Even when we’re not in the classroom, Boothies are constantly learning. We seek out information and take every opportunity to explore new industries. During the Fall Quarter, Boothies attended a lot of conferences, both on campus and around the country. Here’s a quick look at the long list of conferences we have access to as Booth students.
How time flies! It is the holiday season again. Wondering why last winter in Chicago did not bother me much, I realized that it was this time last year 50 of us embarked an amazing trip to Seattle and the Bay Area – the Booth Tech Trek.
Booth Tech Trek is a student led trip that helps Boothies who are interested in a career in technology explore top tech companies in Seattle and the Bay Area, and to connect with alumni and each other. One of our beloved trek leaders, Vivian, did a great post at the beginning of the year from a trek leader perspective. After going through the summer internship and recruiting, I think it would be interesting to revisit the experience as a participant again and share with you why more and more people are thinking of Booth as an entrepreneurial and tech school.
Incoming Class of 2014 student Rob Mazzoni took it upon himself to secure an internship this past summer at a startup in San Francisco called Airtime. He reached out to TBE to discuss his experience there and what his key take-aways are.

So although the Harper Center has been relatively quiet the past few weeks, the students at Booth have been exposed to all sorts of interesting projects and given a great deal of responsibility as part of their summer internships. Here at The Booth Experience, we’ll be highlighting our students’ internship experiences, which span a multitude of industries, job functions, and geographic locations.
