We’re down to our final week of life at Booth, which means days are spent hastily trying to sell old furniture, cobble together final papers, and say yes to every event invitation that comes our way. While two years is really the perfect amount of time to be in business school, it doesn’t take away from the sadness we collectively feel about having to leave this community and most importantly this lifestyle.
I probably speak for most of my class in saying that it’s been a transformational period of time. We learned a great deal, engaged in new experiences, and made memories that’ll last a lifetime. But aside from all the facets of school you’ve read about all year, let’s talk about the social aspect at Booth, and what makes it so much fun to be a part of when classes and recruiting take a back seat on occasion (or potentially more often than that).
The Booth annual ski trip is arguably the biggest Booth trip of the year, and the trip to Aspen this past December was no exception. Check out what 400 Boothies were up to for a week with the awesome video recap below, and some off the slopes pictures after the jump.
This past November and December, Boothies celebrated the winter holidays together, all over the world – 400 students crashed Aspen for a week for our annual Ski Trip, hundreds went on career treks from San Francisco to Dubai, and endless more celebrated classmates’ weddings, spent time with family, or traveled to new cities. We asked all of our amazing classmates to share their holiday photos that captured their favorite aspects of the Booth community—its interconnectedness, its creativity, its diversity, its adventurousness, and every other event or observation that inspires us all to get in the Booth spirit! Check out our favorites…
This past week, 400 Boothies descended on Aspen, CO for the Booth Ski and Snowboard Club’s Annual Ski trip – a jam-packed week of skiing, snowboarding, and parties. Above are some of The Booth Experience crew, wishing you happy holidays from Aspen! Stay tuned for more fun videos/pictures from the Ski Trip…
At the end of Fall quarter, over 330 Boothies traveled to Vail, Colorado for the annual Booth Ski Trip. They could not have chosen a better time to go – 6-8 inches of snow fell every day, producing ideal skiing conditions. Over the course of the week, Conor Fernandez (a second year Booth student) filmed his fellow classmates conquering the mountain by day and partying by night.
While at Booth, Conor founded Activid, a video editing marketplace where people can submit footage to freelance editors who will turn that raw footage into a beautifully edited video. After returning to Chicago, Conor sent the Booth Ski Trip footage to one of Activid’s talented editors, who created this incredible video of their trip:
