Who are you?: I am a career-leaper, a veteran, a husband, a father, and someone who loves being back in school!
What has been your favorite class so far?: Accounting and Financial Analysis II, also known as M&A Accounting, taught by Haresh Sapra. There is a lot of lore, and fear, about the class. It is a challenge, a time sink, and a great learning experience.
What neighborhood do you live in?: I live in South Loop. The first floor of my building is occupied by Giordano’s, a classic Chicago deep-dish pizza joint. Just about every day I come home to the smell of pizza! South Loop is great, it is extremely walkable, has a great variety of restaurants (including Flo and Santos where you can get pizza and pierogis in the same meal), and I am a short walk from Lakeshore.
What is your favorite Chicago restaurant?: For Breakfast – Luxe Bar. They have everything you want for breakfast or brunch and a great atmosphere. For lunch or dinner – Doc B’s Fresh Kitchen. Great burgers, sandwiches, salads, and don’t forget to try the ribs and the chicken noodle soup (you have to go on Tuesday) is the best around.
