Hometown: Chicago, IL
City before Booth: Chicago, IL and Baltimore, MD
Undergraduate School and Major:
Northwestern University, Journalism
Johns Hopkins University, Masters in Urban Education
Fun fact: I love to bike to and from campus along the lake! It’s the best way to get to Hyde Park, and I usually run into friends along the way.
Pre-Booth Job: Academy for Urban School Leadership, Network Math Lead
Summer Internship: Consulting at Bain Chicago
Concentrations at Booth: Analytic & Strategic Management
Your Chicago neighborhood: I live right in the Loop in Millennium Park Plaza (MPP). I love that I’m surrounded by Boothies, transportation to school and anywhere in the city is super easy, and there’s a Sweetgreen right across the street.
What are some of the student groups you’ve been involved with?Management Consulting Group, BoothEd, Board Fellows, Chicago Women In Business, Net Impact, Business Solutions Group, Corporate Management and Strategy Group
Current leadership roles: Management Consulting Group Co-Chair, Board Fellow
Why did you choose Booth? I was looking for a school where I could challenge myself to develop the quantitative and analytical skills that would complement my previous leadership experience, and Booth is the best place to get that kind of rigor and credential. I also loved the people I met and the idea of everyone living together, but still in a big city.
Favorite thing to do in Chicago? Summer volleyball at North Avenue Beach
Favorite trip taken with fellow Boothies? Random Walk Belize, where I met a group of totally different people who became some of my best friends, and survived the craziest underwater cave adventure ever.
Favorite Booth experiences thus far? This is probably an unpopular answer, but the best thing I’ve done at Booth was internship recruiting for consulting. It was a crazy, time-consuming roller coaster of a process, but I learned more from casing and networking than I did in any class. I was also blown away by the support from my classmates, the second years and Booth alumni– talk about the value of community!
