One thing you wish you had known when applying for MBA programs?
Being prepared and staying ahead can help you make the most of your MBA experience. There are so many opportunities from exploring in academic year internships to case competitions, leadership opportunities, and international treks. People have also been involved with research centers like Polsky Center to start their own business while at school. The MBA program moves very quickly and taking time ahead of starting the program to create a bucket list, research, prepare, or even execute on your goals can help you fully take advantage of the resources and opportunities at Booth.
What’s your advice for admission applicants?
While many applicants look at rank, the culture fit can also make a large impact on your MBA experience. I would recommend talking with different people (ie. current students, alumni, etc) to get a sense of the culture. Each school’s culture is unique, and the right fit can help you build long lasting friendships, be engaged in the opportunities offered, and grow throughout the MBA experience. For me, I really appreciated the open, supportive and diverse community at Booth which has helped me to learn beyond the classroom.
Why did you choose Chicago Booth?
Flexible curriculum with Nobel Prize winning faculty, pay-it-forward culture, supportive community, and strong Alumni Network
What is your favorite Booth Experience?
Small group dinners/game nights – there’s normally a lot of laughter and I really enjoy getting to know my classmates better
What do you hope an MBA will help you achieve in your future?
While I had great experience, I had only worked with one company prior to Booth. Through the MBA, I wanted to broaden my perspective and build foundational frameworks so that I could confidently develop and lead new strategic initiatives.
Fun Fact: I have traveled to 4 out of 7 continents. I hope to make that 6 out of 7 by the time I graduate.

Anything outdoors, exploring different restaurants, and searching for the best views of the city
