One thing you wish you had known when applying for MBA programs?
Ask what “flexible curriculum” means at each school. Everyone’s core requirements look different and the ways you select classes are different. This is useful to know if you need a refresher or feel you can waive certain courses.

What’s your advice for admission applicants?
Think of each part of the application as a different surface area to showcase part of your character. If something isn’t covered in your essays, make sure to add it in the short response portion, or mention it during the interview loop.

Why did you choose Chicago Booth?
I wanted to live in a bustling, urban environment and Chicago was the best place to have that experience at a reasonable price!

What is your favorite Booth Experience?
I can’t pick just one so some highlights include: Getting to ask Karamo Brown of Queer Eye a question about diversity and inclusion at Netflix, meeting CEO of Converse Scott Uzell and getting custom Uchigao kicks, and spring break in Colombia with 400 of my classmates was unforgettable!

What do you hope an MBA will help you achieve in your future?
I aspire to be the Chief Marketing Officer of a technology or consumer goods firm and the marketing program within Booth, the Kilts Fellowship, networking opportunities and career potential here will certainly help me achieve this goal.

Fun Fact: I’ll be studying abroad next year in Barcelona, Spain, my third extended time living abroad.

Your Chicago Neighborhood: I live in the loop but highly recommend spending time in Wicker Park and Lincoln Park

What is your favorite thing to do in Chicago?
Get an iced coffee from Cafecito and walk down the riverwalk and lake with friends!
